I have been excited about applique lately because it allows you to easily make some wacky curves that can be really challenging in other forms of sewing. So I wanted to try some more playful imagery and style it up with some vintage mother of pearl buttons.

All of my pillows are made with 2nd hand fabrics sourced from the fashion and interior design industries as well as vintage shops and estate sales. This way I get fabrics unavailable to anyone else and give some rad old fabrics a new life for you to love! The fabrics may carry a visual history of their previous life (wear marks in a pair of old jeans or the red wine stain of a linen tablecloth). These choices are intentional, showing the character of the journey of the fabric.

The face of this pillow is made with vintage cotton and mother of pearl buttons. The back pillow is made with preshrunk cotton canvas. Filled with duck feather pillow. Machine washable on cold and gentle, turn inside out to wash. Do not dryclean.
