This is a real work of folk art. I think that each square was woven on one of those little looms that kids make potholders on using nylon loops. Each square is beautifully woven with a radical gradient of greens in wool yarn. Each woven square is then crocheted together to make the larger work . It almost feels like prison art, using really simple process and tools to make something actually quite extraordinary. The whole thing kind of feels like a tortoise shell. Its so cool.

Great lap blanket for sitting by the fire or at your nephews football game or out watching the thanksgiving parade.
